🤔 Do you know where your credit score stands? 💳 If you don’t, it’s important to get up-to-speed.

Your credit score has a huge impact on your ability to make major purchases, including financing your 🏡 or 🚗. Lending companies will use this score to determine if you’re a good candidate for a loan, since it’s based on the amount of debt you carry and your payment history.

A higher credit score can lead to ⬇ interest rates, ⬆ credit limits, and more buying power. Inversely, a ⬇ credit score can do the opposite. While minimalism and the idea of simple living have been the main narrative for many years, maximalist concepts are returning, bringing a new wave of luxury features with it. In 2023, we will be seeing bolder patterns, exciting textures and deeper colors in homes.

If you’re wanting to add some bold wallpaper to your home or add designs and fabric patterns that are conversation starters, check out art deco or neoclassicist interiors for style inspiration!

Another trend that’s projected for 2023 based on Pinterest data, is the rise of emotional escape rooms such as home libraries. As mental health and wellbeing continue to be major themes driving our interior design choices, it makes sense for homeowners to want to turn their homes into the ultimate escapism retreat.

❓Should you or should you not❓

🏠 Paying off your mortgage is a milestone that can take decades to reach. 💫

However, once you’re free from the burden of monthly mortgage payments, you will still have to cover some home-related expenses.

Your mortgage lender requires you to have homeowners insurance. Even though you don’t have to keep your coverage once you’ve paid off your mortgage, it’s a good idea to maintain a homeowners insurance policy.

It will protect you if your house gets damaged or destroyed by a covered peril, if you’re a victim of theft or vandalism, or if someone gets injured on your property.

Without homeowners insurance coverage, you will have to foot the bill for those types of losses yourself. If your house gets destroyed by a fire or a storm, all the equity that you worked so hard to build will be gone. 💰

Should you keep it? My advice, is yes, you should!
